La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream Review

I’m sure you’re not unaware of skincare woes. We all have them, in some form or another. Whether it’s funny little spots, awful lines, or revealing wrinkles, there’s always something when it comes to skin. We spend most of our lives worrying about them, when doing so really doesn’t do us any good, with the rest of the time trying to do something about it.

You may agree (and I’m sure you will do, seeing as you’re reading this in the first place), but for me, eye care and the skin under-eye are just the worst. It’s always been a sensitive subject within the skincare industry. Many people claim to have the cure, while many of us try and test with little patience and more often than not, just want to give it all up.

I once read that under-eye problems, especially, are hereditary, which leaves us with little hope of fixing them. While lines and the like are brought on by actions such as smiling, laughing, and dreaded sunlight – who knew such enjoyable and life-enhancing pastimes could be so deadly – prevention is nearly always forgotten. But then again, why would we want to never smile, laugh or head out into daylight?

So, with prevention pretty much out of the question, a cure could be our only hope. With such a delicate skin area, surely only the very best can do. Now it’s my turn to give that old suspicion a try. Starting with the best of the best of course (in expert opinions) – La Prairie and their Cellular Eye Contour Cream.

We’ve taken information from other La Prairie reviews and compared it with our own eye cream to make sure we’d bring forward a completely unbiased review.

The Brand Reputation

One of the best eye contour creams

I’m sure you’ve heard the hype and if you’ve not, I’ll be sure to fill you in. Launched in 1978, the Exclusive Cellular Complex Eye Contour Cream has been considered a classic for over 35 years. It’s no doubt that La Prairie Cellular Eye Cream has been around for several years. Judging from La Prairie reviews, it’s here to stay.

Now, when I first read that I thought great, if it’s been going for that long, users, customers and reviewers couldn’t be spinning one big lie now could they? I’m sure you’ll agree. If it’s been around for over 35 years, there must be something truthful in what they’ve been saying for all that time.

Its focus is line and wrinkle combating abilities, which in itself is a good promise, as we all know how hideous those pesky little things can make us feel. Their secret seems to be moisture combined with being aware of what a sensitive area it really is. Again, another thing that makes me feel assured. It might sound simple, but if they can really understand my needs, I’m generally on their side from the start.

So, by helping the delicate skin retain moisture, La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream claims to maintain correct dryness and prevent dehydration that leads to those little lines, as well as teach the skin to stay hydrated. The result? A much calmed and soothed under-eye area that we can all get on board with.

And the Application?

In short, really is as simple as it should be. To be used both morning and evening, as any good product should really recommend, dot the Cellular Eye Contour Cream under each eye and then gently smooth it from the outer corner to the inner with your fingertips. See, easily done. No fancy application is needed. They also suggest then carrying on to the hairline if you are worried about crow’s feet too. They really do their job perfectly and Cellular Eye Contour cream is the reason why La Prairie got so famous for their eye care products.

It definitely feels nice to hear that all it takes is good old-fashioned TLC in the application. So many remarkable products require so much these days that it tends to get a bit tedious. But not this eye cream and that gave me a very good feeling. Now, on to the trials…

But, Does it Actually Work?

Many La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream reviews claim that this product works wonders. However, do I think so?

I guess I should start by saying why I’ve always been intrigued by the La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream. I rarely used to worry about my eyes and didn’t have much of a need to, until recently. I guess it’s been happening for some time, but I’ve started to notice dark circles, under-eye lines, and slight wrinkles that decorate my skin – especially when I smile.

So, with the idea of combating this before it gets worse, I’ve taken to La Prairie eye cream. Being an anti-aging specialist, I was definitely hoping for a lot. I can be quite critical when it comes to the product itself and there was no need to be in this case.

The eye cream has quite a thick consistency which I always love. You know you don’t need to use a lot of it for it to work and, as a supposed intensive moisturizer, nor should you have to. It also doesn’t feel oily in the slightest, another positive in my eyes (pardon the pun).

So far, I’ve been using it for about four weeks. It’s definitely moisturizing, just as it says on the tin and it seems to have a sort of correcting ability. I’ve felt a change over time, starting between the first and second weeks, which I’ll put down to the intensive moisturizing abilities.

It improves the appearance by firming and minimizing fine lines, guarding against puffiness (but once they start appearing you need a stronger cream). After the first application, the skin in my eye area became softer, smoother, and brighter, and those fine lines disappeared.

The under-eye area is certainly looking a lot healthier and even less puffy. I guess that’s down to them being properly moisturized now – an added bonus I can get on board with of course.

It would of course seem that my lines and wrinkles are starting to vanish – which is exactly what I wanted.

Before and After Using an Eye Wrinkle Cream

Where to Buy

There are a few places you can get your hands on La Prairie the first one being directly from the manufacturer. La Prairie eye cream reviews show the brand has a huge anti-aging skincare line and sometimes will run specials on its products from time to time.

Another great place to look at is Amazon as you may sometimes land a lower price here. It’s a good idea to consider all your options to get the most value for your money. Remember to only buy from reliable sources to avoid receiving a counterfeit La Prairie product.

Additional Tips

Along with reading La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream reviews to learn more about the benefits of using a quality eye cream, there are other ways you can avoid wrinkles around the eyes. Here are just a few:

Wear Sunscreen

No matter where you are going, if you know your skin will be exposed to sunlight, wear a sun protectant with SPF 15 or higher. Your eyes are a very sensitive area, which is why you need to wear sunblock each time you go outside. Many foundations, lotions, and skincare products contain SPF, making this process easier.

Sunglasses

Not only will you stay in style while wearing sunglasses, but you will also give your eyes added protection. Without glasses, you’ll most likely be squinting a lot, which will lead to wrinkles around the eyes. The same goes with regular prescription glasses. Make sure you get your eyes checked if you believe you need glasses as squinting can lead to wrinkles.

Moisturize

Whenever you have the chance, moisturize your skin! Use an eye cream such as the ones mentioned in our La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream reviews to target and hydrate the area around the eyes. As you age, your skin will produce less sebum. This is a natural moisturizer that keeps your skin looking youthful and healthy. Consequently, you need to begin using products that will give these properties back.

Smoking

If you are a smoker, you may already know you’re more likely to get eye wrinkles. Not only does smoking lead to premature aging but the repetitive facial motions when smoking can be bad for your skin. When you give up smoking, you’re looking at more oxygen for your skin and a healthier complexion with fewer wrinkles.

Microdermabrasion

This treatment is great for individuals wanting to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. How it works is this machine will exfoliate your skin, getting rid of dead skin cells. It digs deeper than a regular exfoliating product but does require some recovery time. Take a look at our microdermabrasion reviews for more information on this option!

All in all, if you want to have beautiful, glowing skin, you need to practice good habits. These are just some of the ones you can try along with having a good skincare routine in place, eating healthy, and drinking water on a regular basis.

And the Overall Verdict?

La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream reviews are all over the web and for good reason! This is a highly talked about an eye cream that offers great results to some people. However, I’m not completely convinced.

While I’m not sure if I’m qualified to recommend La Prairie’s Cellular Eye Contour Cream for all sorts of eye issues, for anyone like myself that have a few lines to worry about, it certainly does the trick. By keeping the skin constantly full of moisture, the eye area looks much more radiant.

One thing that I am quite wary of is the lack of SPF. So many products seem to boast the addition of SPF these days that I do find it a little disappointing, but then again, it is sold as a line and wrinkle specialist, not sun protection, so I think I can let it off.

Have you been tempted to try La Prairie’s Cellular Eye Contour Cream yet? If you already have, what were your thoughts?
